Professional home stager of vacant properties listed for sale and the pioneer of "virtual staging", Krisztina Bell provides her clients with over 10 years of experience in the real estate marketing and home staging business. Krisztina consults and teaches agents nationwide and globally in transforming any vacant property listing into a beautifully staged home through her two Atlanta-based companies, No Vacancy, Inc. (www.novacancy-atl.com) and Virtually Staging Properties, Inc. (www.virtuallystagingproperties.com). Both her businesses provides clients with traditional home staging services as well as a patent-pending process called "virtual staging" that digitally transforms any photo of a vacant home into a more attractive 'virtually' staged listing online. Krisztina developed this process for agents and sellers as an economical marketing tool that instantly drives buyer traffic and sells vacant properties faster. Both of her companies consist of a team of professional home stagers and designers who along with her expertise and works have been featured in such publications as The New York Times, Realtor Magazine, Dallas Morning News, San Francisco Chronicle, Atlanta Journal & Constitution, FoxNews.com and CNBC.com. Krisztina was co-host of the popular Atlanta radio show and featured online podcast available on itunes, "At Home With Paisley Radio Show" on www.AmericasWebRadio.com which featured interviews with high profile home, design and real estate industry experts as well as HGTV celeb hosts that provided listeners with practical advice and stylish living for the home. Krisztina's Staging & Decorating Philosophy: "I follow the golden rule of staging and that is 'Keep it Simple'. I go for classic styles and clean lines because it's all about making those first impressions count when selling a home or placing one large piece of artwork in an entry that says 'WOW' and starts a conversation. I tell clients that 'Less is Best' when staging a home AND 'Less is More' when it comes to decorating a home!" |

Fashion and design are in Melanie Mueller's blood. Her maternal grandmother hand knitted handbags and sold them in her tiny town of Calarca, Colombia -- a fact Melanie wasn't aware of until she launched her company Mel Boteri. Now Melanie proudly carries on her grandmother's legacy, designing custom, made-to-order fashion to help women around the globe express their personality and style. Melanie had the "aha" moment to begin her company while earning her MBA at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. As part of the MBA program, Melanie had the opportunity to work with the Marketing & Business Development group for world-renowned designer Zac Posen in New York City. There she was, in the middle of the fashion capital of the world, and all she could find were one-size-fits-all, mass- produced designs that did not reflect who she was. Her frustration became the inspiration for Mel Boteri --the go-to luxury brand for custom and bespoke accessories. She laid the groundwork for the business during her last semester at Emory, and officially launched the brand with her first collection of handbags in the fall of 2009. The brand's name is Melanie's way to honor her rich heritage. Mel is short for Melanie, the German name her father gave her, and Boteri stems from her Colombian mother's maiden name, Botero. Mel Boteri has partnered with some of the world's biggest luxury brands, including Mercedes-Benz and Jet Senters Aviation to create both co-branded and private label accessories for a discerning and selective clientele. In addition to entrepreneur, self-taught designer and Emory MBA, Melanie recently added author to her resume. Her "7 Secrets of Handbag Shopping" is the first of many bag guides created to provide an inside look into the fabulous world of handbags, while Mel Boteri's ezine, Best Dressed: Weekly Style Inspiration To Be YOUnique, has proven to be a source of style inspiration for women (and men) around the world. Julie Kingsley is the Senior Vice President at bizzieMe™. Her background includes almost twenty years in education and an extensive experience with social media marketing. She lives in South Portland, Maine with her husband and two children. Emily Bernhard has produced, directed and written documentaries for a broad range of clients including National Geographic, PBS, History, and NOVA scienceNow!. Her documentaries have won a number of awards including the Telly, two Cine Golden Eagles, the Science Journalists Award and a Boston/New England Emmy. Prior to that, she was Public Relations Director for a Maine-based marketing firm. bizzieMe is creating branded digital games and activities for kids to use while they wait. Using a patent-pending digital platform, bizzieMe provides a relatively low-cost way for companies to engage and entertain kids with their brand. Once the bizzieMe app is downloaded onto a mobile device, using geo-location technology, kids can access different branded content as they travel from place to place. So, imagine you start your day with your daughter at the coffee shop. She opens the bizzieMe app on your family tablet and plays games and activities that teach her all about coffee, how it’s roasted, the countries where it’s grown and the people who live there. Then, maybe you go to a dentist’s office and she takes a virtual tour of her mouth through her bizzieMe app. Now she knows where plaque comes from and plays a digital flossing game while she waits for her appointment. Next, over lunch at a Mexican restaurant, you and your daughter use bizzieMe to play dots and blocks, learn about Mexican art and culture, and then create a drawing that you post on Facebook, or email to grandma. That afternoon, while waiting for dad’s flight to arrive at the airport, she uses bizzieMe to learn about flight – how lift happens, how planes are constructed, and why weather is important – all while playing digital games. bizzieMe will be available in thousands of locations where all kinds of branded content will spark curiosity, create brand loyalty and enable users to engage in the world around them.

Yes, Ma'am! Mammograms Are A Must® is a social enterprise that raises awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer and helps to fund annual screenings for uninsured women. The sassy and southern pink T-shirt is drawing attention, and increasing numbers of mammography advocates — called Ma’ambassadors — are helping to move the momentum nationally. Sales of the tee donate 25% to nonprofit healthcare organizations or funds that provide mammograms for women who don’t have insurance. Lee McCracken is a writer, editor, social entrepreneur and three-year breast cancer survivor. At 50, Lee says God turned her mess into a message, and she created and trademarked Yes, Ma'am! Mammograms Are A Must®. The social enterprise makes a sassy and southern statement about the importance of early detection of breast cancer. The pink T-shirt (www.YesMaamTee.com) helps to fund annual screenings for uninsured women. The message is clear: “Get your squeeze on!” and be breast-aware to put a stop to late-stage cancer diagnosis. Lee welcomes advocates of early breast cancer detection, known as Ma’ambassadors, to join the campaign at www.Facebook.com/YesMaamMammograms and on Twitter at @YesMaamMammos. Lee lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband of 29 years and also is a veteran writer and editor. Her book, “A Prayer and a Pink Pedicure,” which tells the story of self-discovery and spiritual preservation following loss, a cancer diagnosis and a crisis of faith, will be published in 2013. Raymond L. Jackson was born in the small southern town of Valdosta, Ga. in 1961. A vast amount of the core values, such as respect, religion, love and compassion to name a few were all provided through his eyes and learned as he watched his parents. But most of his characteristics and attributes that he is bringing to the ongoing development of First Image come directly from the 20 years of experience obtained while serving his country as an enlisted serviceman within the United States Army. From “saloon to salon,” BRÖÖ Haircare has taken the home-brewed remedy of the “beer hair” rinse, and raised the bar by creating a line of ultra-performing natural shampoos and conditioners, crafted from the “beauty in beer”. With microbrewed beer as the #1 ingredient, BRÖÖ “pops the top” on the natural beauty industry. Frustrated by the performance of the natural hair care products they were using, Brad and Sarah Pearsall were inspired to turn the natural hair care industry on its head, by the two things that surround them in Asheville, North Carolina, craft beer and the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Taking a cue from their mothers (who had rinsed their hair with beer back in college for body and shine), Brad and Sarah set out on a journey to discover the natural beauty in beer. Along the way, they succeeded in creating BRÖÖ, a line of ultra-performing, natural shampoos and conditioners that tap into the B vitamins, proteins, and minerals in microbrewed beer from Asheville. Just voted “Breakthrough Company of 2013” in Delicious Living Magazine’s 2013 Beauty & Body Awards, BRÖÖ is now sold in the natural channel across most of the country, and Brad and Sarah have started spreading the “beer beauty” message into mainstream channels, as well. Take a “sip” of BRÖÖ at broo.com, and learn why beer really does make you better looking! Although they've only been on store shelves a little over a year, they just won the prestigious "Breakthrough Company of 2013 Award" in Delicious Living Magazine's 2013 Beauty & Body Awards. Delicious Living, the leading consumer magazine in the natural products industry, with more than one million readers each month, picked BRÖÖ from hundreds of natural beauty products and brands to feature the industry’s most innovative and effective nontoxic products: http://deliciousliving.com/2013beautyawards. They are so excited to be a part of Asheville's natural products sector, and are proud that Delicious Living magazine recognized an Asheville natural products company with this award.

In 1993, Randy and Cindi Beavers realized they would one day inherit her Grandfather’s farm forcing them to choose between selling the farm to land developers or moving there and attempting to make a living. Cindi’s Grandfather had purchased the farm in 1932 and paid for it with a bale of cotton per year so the couple felt they couldn’t place a monetary value on his dedication. There was only one option, move to the farm. Little did they know how that decision would shape their lives. Twenty years later and after a series of eight Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) awards from USDA and NIH/NCCAM focused on development of sustainable production and processing techniques for the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species Appendix II listed plant Hydrastis canadensis, aka goldenseal, Randy is considered an authority on the plant and is at the forefront of raising the bar of goldenseal product quality and reliability. Steve Henson is a marketing professor at Western Carolina University and the Chief Marketing Officer at BotaniPharm. He began his career working for about five years with GE Capital, then moved to a subsidiary of Ciba-Geigy, now Novartis. Mid-career, he decided to make the switch to academics and earned his Ph.D. in Marketing from Georgia State University at the ripe young age of 40. He is a native Appalachian and had a chance to return to the mountains at Western and jumped at it. BotaniPharm, LLC is the only known 100% grower owned botanical product company in the US. The company specializes in United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Organic Program certified production and processing of high value, forest grown medicinal plants particularly endangered/threatened species such as Hydrastis canadensis, aka goldenseal. The company’s leadership in the area of development of sustainable production and processing methods for endangered/threatened medicinal plants has been recognized by the USDA and the National Institutes of Health National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NIH/NCCAM) through a series of Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) awards totaling more than $2 million. Through this work the Company’s Founder developed a paradigm changing method of standardizing goldenseal products to specific levels of biological activity thus assuring repeatable potency regardless of year to year and location to location variability and opening the door to controlled clinical studies using goldenseal for the first time. The Company currently produces research grade goldenseal products for use in NIH funded human clinical studies and markets a consumer line of dietary supplements, Goldenseal Advanced™, based on the same standardization process through their website, www.botanipharm.com. BotaniPharm’s mission is to enhance profitability for its small farm members through pooled production, cooperative processing, and marketing under a common brand name, create safer, more reliable products for consumers, and produce a desirable environmental benefit through reduction in the need for wild collected medicinal plants to meet market demand, true “triple bottom line benefits”.

JuryStar was nominated as a 2012 Best Trial Prep iPad App by The National Law Journal. JuryStar received additional national recognition from The American Lawyer magazine, which listed JuryStar as the only jury selection app in its article of legal apps “that really deliver,” providing: “Many apps have tried to facilitate the jury selection process—and most would quickly be found guilty of not helping much. This week Tara Gentile, creative business coach, talked to The "Better You" Project about her successes and how to not get hit by the "conventional bug" but to fulfill those dreams you've always had. She found out early in life that she had skills that translated well to business and the marketplace. She stated that America is working towards a Y-O-U economy in that "we want to reclaim what is valuable to us". In her own words Tara said that "people want to invest in things that feel important and have meaningful experiences, whether it's fancy wedding invitations, weekly massages or even business coaches". She suggests beating back self-sabotage and disbelief, and says we need more people to be engaged and on fire to have higher earning goals for themselves. For her clients she translates "true-self into true-business" by helping them realize how their own personal beliefs, values, and operating systems could allow them to create a thriving business.

Eric Holtzclaw and Susan McMullen interview the Leaders of LPG, Ted Alling and Allan Davis. Lamp Post Group is a venture incubator. LPG combines the resources of a startup incubator with the financial investment capabilities of a venture capital firm. LPG believes in starting companies the right way - with consistent principles and a culture of empowerment. LPG companies range in industry and stage of growth all the way from recent college graduates working in social data mining to an established manufacturing firm looking to grow. At just 33 years old, Ted has already established himself as one of the leading entrepreneurs in the South and is widely regarded as the leading young business-person in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Ted is now a managing partner of the Lamp Post Group, where he actively recruits and mentors entrepreneurs. Along with his co-founders Allan Davis and Barry Large, Ted’s visionary leadership as CEO of Access America Transport led directly to its organic growth into $150 million in revenue in 2010 after nine consecutive years of organic growth. Ted also founded AAT Carriers, an asset based trucking company specializing in the transport of weapons and hazardous materials, as well as Reliance Partners, a full-service insurance agency. A native of Vestavia Hills, AL, Ted earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Samford University where he and his partners were named Outstanding Young Alumni of the Year in 2010. Ted currently serves on the board of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce. Ted resides on Lookout Mountain with his wife of 10 years and three children.
Allan Davis
Allan’s bold and often unorthodox perspective has made him an effective counter-balance to traditional business theory and practice allowing him and his companies to push the envelope and develop innovative solutions. In his role as a managing partner at Lamp Post, Allan helps entrepreneurs understand what they do best and then how to empower others to scale out beyond just the founder’s circle. His efficacy for strategic long-term planning and reverse engineering has made him the person largely credited for Access America’s explosive growth from startup to over $150 million in revenue in under 10 years. During his tenure as COO Access America has expanded to seven locations across the U.S and received dozens of awards and recognitions for its forward thinking approach to meeting the transportation and logistics needs of its customers. Allan graduated from McCallie School in Chattanooga in 1996 before attending Samford University where he graduated in 2000 with a B.S. in Management. In 2010, Allan also became a graduate of Singularity University’s Executive Program.
